  • DUI Arrest after Collision with K-9 Cruiser: Barry Evans, 62, of West Haven, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, operating under suspension, and interfering with an officer after his vehicle struck a parked New Haven police K-9 cruiser on Tuesday evening. The K-9 in the cruiser was uninjured, but police found several empty and partially full containers of alcohol in Evans' car.
  • Veterans Day Commemoration: The city, in conjunction with the West Haven Veterans Council, held a Veterans Day tribute and dedicated a new addition to the Vietnam Memorial on the Veterans Walk of Honor on Tuesday, November 11.
  • Arrests in Stolen Vehicle Incident: Two individuals were arrested in West Haven after the driver of a stolen vehicle attempted to elude police by turning onto a dead-end street. One of the suspects was found to have nine outstanding warrants from area police departments.
