Demolition Begins at Former Debonair Beach Motel
Demolition of the long-standing former Debonair Beach Motel at 295 Beach St. began on November 19. Mayor Dorinda Borer presented developers with a symbolic gold-painted mallet to mark the occasion, which she dubbed "Debonair Demolition Day". The 0.94-acre waterfront property is being cleared to make way for the development of market-rate residences featuring amenities like a swimming pool and fitness center.
