  • Christmas Tree Lighting Event Today The annual West Haven Green Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, presented by Mayor Dorinda Borer in partnership with West Haven United, will take place this evening from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, children's activities, live entertainment, and food trucks. The rain date is Monday, December 1.
  • New Haven Shooting Injures Two Two men in their early 30s sustained non-life-threatening injuries in an overnight shooting in a parking lot adjacent to the Terminal 110 nightclub in New Haven. New Haven police responded to the scene at 1:11 a.m. Saturday; no additional information was immediately available.
  • Fundraiser for CT Man Killed in NY A fundraiser has been launched for the wife of a Canterbury, CT man, Mark Thompson, who was allegedly shot and killed by one of his brothers in upstate New York earlier this week. The alleged shooter, Scot Thompson, was taken into custody by local law enforcement.
